Abstract
The selection of suitable Suppliers’ is one of the important parts of economic improvement, smooth running, systematic growth and development of the industrial production and management sector. In most of the cases, a single supplier may not fulfil all industrial buyers’ criteria i.e. needed multi-suppliers’selection problem and hence use a multi-objective decision-making technique to solve such type of problem. This study presents an uncertainty-based multi-objective model of the supplier’s selection problem and then adds another objective function called Shannon’s measure of an entropy function with this multi-supplier model. Here the said model is introduced in fuzzy environments by taking interval-valued ranking of fuzzy numbers as the coefficients of objectives, constraints and goals and then using the signed distance function and using a weighted fuzzy multiobjective mathematical decision-making technique to solve the above said multi-supplier’s model. Finally, an Example of Sugar production factory management is provided here to support the said theory.
