Abstract

Growing organized retail sector in India has provided a tremendous opportunity for Indian consumers a great opportunity for shopping at various retail formats, particularly mass merchandisers. This study is presenting the assessment of Indian retail consumer behavior and it provides the insight on the Indian customers preferences of shopping at organized retail malls and influence of promotional strategies adopted by organized retailers in globalised era.. Also this study explores how retailer assortment, pricing and promotional policies, as well as household demographics, affect shopping behavior and expenditures in these different formats. This research is completed with the help of primary data and secondary data. The retail consumers are giving preference to retail outlets on the basis of product offerings. Alsoin this paper researchers have discussed consumer spending pattern and retail formats ofthe retailers.
