Abstract

As we think of future world the issues of sustainability, environment and energy security take a center place. Leadership is an importantfunction which helps to bring out the best in people in organizations, to maximize efficiency and to achieve organizational goals. Inpresent context we need leaders with the concern for the society. Emphasis on service is emerging out as one of the key aspect of leadership. Servant leadership has evolved as one ofthe important value based concept in leadership. This approach has proved to be of great relevance in the field of Organizational Behavior and Education. This paper paints some of the aspects of Servant Leadership on the canvass of contemporary issues.
