Abstract

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a planning & problem solving tool for translating customer requirements into company requirements and identifying features or capabilities required to become a best-in-class provider. In this paper an attempthas been made tofind out the target values of the Technical Reguirements (TRs) of the product on the basis ofprioritized Voice ofCustomers (VoC) using Data EnvelopmentAnalysis (DEA). DEA provides a general framework for computations of target values ofTRs in the planning matrix ofHoQ. In the proposed model prioritized VoC's willbe the input & the corresponding TR's has beenfound by the product developmentteam. The relationship between TR'sand VoC's can be established with the help of a 1-9 point scale. In the proposed model Data Envelopment Analysis is used to find out the relative target of each Technical Requirement with respect to all the prioritized Voice ofCustomers byconsidering TRs & VoCs as two factors. The calculations ofthe proposed model are explained with help ofan illustration based on aSauce Manufacturing Compaпy.

Keywords- Quality Function Deployment, Data EnvelopmentAnalysis, Voice of Customers, Technical Requirements & Target Values.
