Abstract

Facility Layout problem is unique in each and every organization. A lot ofresearch is carried out to generate layouts. Computerized techniques also were evolved. However, the layout of stores is totally different than that of manufacturing. An attempt has been made in this paper to design stores layout of a small scale manufacturing unit using Simulated Annealing approach. The main objective is to reduce the total distance moved.
