Abstract
The research is to studythe selected issues related to Total Quality Management (TQM). Identify the Critical Success Factors (CSF's) ofTQM, enablers ofTQM success, understanding the TQMphilosophy, practicing of TQM tools and techniques etc; which are mostly used and to be best practiced in Indian automobile companies. Here we are planning to design a TQM frameworks or TOM models, comprise offour most importantfactors, which are mostly suitablefor differentsize of auto companies such as small, medium and large scale companies. All these factors have been discussed in the proceeding sessions. Finally a brief case study result on one factor also given for better understanding of the effectiveness of these TQM factor after successfully implementing it. We also plan to give an understanding about the selection ofTQM factors according the situation and needs of different sizes ofthe Auto companies. It is very much essential for Indian auto manufacturers of all the sizes should give most important to implement the TQM practices to become competitive in the international markets as well as gain the customer satisfaction globally. For this Managers of Indian auto manufacturers should be given knowledgeable training on TQM philosophy, tools, techniques and software quality packages so that the TQM implementation process willbe come easier.
