Abstract
In this work we describe an user friendly approach, that can be used to obtain AGV dispatching by considering the important criterions from work centre Initiated decisions, Vehicle Initiated decisions and Vehicle & work Initiated decisions proposed by R.Kodali. The selection criteria are based on 1) Least Utilization AGV, 2) Most Idle AGV, 3) Nearest distance between AGV and workcentre, and 4) Maximum exit buffer queue size of work centre. These parameters are categorized based on numerical values with definite range and corresponding ranks are assigned. Accordingly presented an" Neuro expert module" (NEM) and shown how expert knowledge-base system (KBS) and Artificial neural networks (ANN) can be used for implementing dispatching AGVs to requesting work centers.
