Abstract

Overall Equipment Effectiveness, often shortened to just OEE, is an established method of measuring and then optimizing the efficiency of a machine's performance or that of a whole manufacturing system. The paper presents application of TPM to measure losses using OEE on shop floor which consists of ten machines. Availability, production performance and quality rate indices were calculated month wise for each machine to compute OEE trends. The analysis helps the managers to make companywide maintenance planning systemwhich helps in reliable operation of systems.
