Abstract
To sustain in a competitive business environment, the organisations formulate strategies to deal with uncertainties prevailing in all business activities. Since various uncertainties encountered along the supply chain adversely affect the performance of the supply chain, it is essential to analyse the uncertainty. The order fulfilment process of any organisation depends on coordination among the different supply chain entities like suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers. Manufacturing system is one of the vital entities of the supply chain and its performance many times affected due to the various uncertainties. To address this issue, system dynamic approach has been adopted to develop a model to study the behaviour of manufacturing supply chain by generating four scenarios considering uncertain raw material supply lead time and production delay. The performance of each scenario is measured by estimating the backlog quantity.
