Abstract
Business analysis is a research discipline of identifying business needs and determining solutions to business problems. Solutions may include business processes improvement, accommodation/incorporation of new processes or strategic planning and policy development. Since its appearance at the end of the 1970s, the business analysis has evolved into a key function in the world of business. As the market imposing increasingly faster implementation times, more efficient and scalable solutions, along with a more controlled return on investment, business analysis becomes an essential step in the satisfactory completion of large-scale projects. In this paper various aspects of business analysis discipline like, immergence of business analysis, relevance of it to the business, roles of an analyst, and different useful business analysis techniques, are discussed.
